day 937 - olympic heroes parade

two of the olympic athletes honoured in today's olympic heroes parade which was held around a small portion of the downtown core. these two decided to get off the float/vehicle they were in and shook hands with the people watching. quite nice of them.

day 936 - sailboats

it's a beautiful day to go sailing, never mind if it's a tad cold. now i discovered that my dSLR can take in the natural colours of a scenery even when i take the shot from inside our office building. that's great. now i have to learn how to eliminate the reflections.

day 935 - the old city hall - coloured version

i took the same pic in black and white first. then i shot it again in colour.

i got permission to take their photo, but i forgot to ask for their names. but i will still count them as 2 and 3. my first is somewhere in my computer. UPDATE: their names are leanne and jason.

day 931 - day is done

i was in a rush to come here as i saw the clouds were glowing red from the sunset. i had to take a walk and the bus was slow in coming, then another ten-minute walk to the marina. by the time i got there, this is all i could capture, silhouettes of the masts but at least there's a tinge of golden glow, a duck and the end boat coming back to moor.

woke up. went to the kitchen to make breakfast. looked out the window. sky was clear. then this. bright waning moon and a star, with vapour trails with a reddish glow from the impending sunrise.  it's good to be alive.
