day 921 - morning moon

morning girl, how'd you sleep last night?
you're several ages older now
your eyes have started showin' how
the little girl's growin' now

mornin' girl, was that you last night?
crying on the radio
beggin' for a way to go
to go back where love wasn't jumbled so

oh, no, things are different now than they were before
you know love is more than kisses a
whole lot more

and powder-puff that pretty nose

as far as the eye can see; beautiful day to go to the races. woodbine race track.

day 708 - the morning moon (again)

through the tree's branches this time.

day 340 - snow on track

in posts day 251 and day 293 , we've seen how the tracks looked like in october, when the colours of the leaves were changing, and in late november after the winter season's first snow dusting, respectively. this is how the tracks and the nearby area look like after that big dump of snow on the weekend and yesterday. you will note that the CN tower and the downtown skyscrapers aren't visible in this picture due to heavy clouds. i was hoping for the passing of a GO train but it wasn't possible this time.

day 245 - a divided sky

all day long, the sky was like this: half cloudy, half clear. but we weren't complaining, it was balmy and warm by the afternoon. on my way home tonight from the radio station, i had the urge to take my light coat off. what if, just if, this kind of weather stays in toronto all year long? maybe i should gather some signatures to get a petition going.

day 237 - an array of colours

going home with the grandkids from their karate class, we passed by the slope on the side of the main street bridge. the colours are indeed changing, and coupled by spitting rain and strong winds, mother nature is reiterating that this is autumn and we know what comes after that.

day 198 - today

"while the blossoms still cling to the vine, i'll taste your strawberries and drink your sweet wine; a million tomorrows may all pass away, ne'er i'll forget all the joys that were mine, today." today was another beautiful summer day. when the weather gets this beautiful at this time of the year, you know, and i know, summer will soon be over. so, let's take it in while we can, for soon, for sure, the cold days are coming.

day 193 - skyscape

an extremely hot and humid day, just before sunset, and this was what i saw when i looked at the sky. i thought it was kind of quaint, wasn't it?

day 190 - the view from above

that's the moon over toronto. i took this photograph as our plane made its descent at pearson international airport, coming back from jacksonville, florida. the city looked so beautiful what with the half moon over the city. another WOW moment.
