i was so tired tonight and made it home quite late, because i was sure i wouldn't want to make anything for supper, so i went to my favourite chinese restaurant and had my favourite shrimp in lobster sauce. it was snowing and the owner gave me a cup of tea as soon as i sat down. beautiful!

day 399 - tea for the weary

day 22 - offerings to the gods
at congee queen, this tray was before the small altar just as you enter the restaurant doors. the gods must be hungry - steamed duck, roasted pork, oranges and..what the...green bananas?
