day 957 - mums

raspberry red mums decorating the streets of downtown toronto.

day 781 - feeling fluffy!

i don't know what this tree is but the clustered flowers sure look like cotton balls. they are so lovely!

day 777 - strange flowers

strange to me, at least. they are so tiny. the tire of a full-size bike gives you the perspective of how small these plants are. these are very deep dark pink but of course that doesn't show much on the pink and since it was bright sunshine in london today.

day 762 - need cheering up?

get yourself some tulips, like i did. well, the whites and the coral ones were given to me while i bought the yellows. now i'm cheered, i should get out of the house.

day 761 - jocelyn's orchids

this is the orchid plant in young jocelyn's office. she's gone home so i took a photo of this before the flowers all wither and die.

day 753 - atrium at scotia plaza

there is a nice atrium-like sitting place at the scotia plaza and i couldn't resist taking pics of the flowers. there are mini-roses, anthurium, cyclamen, etc. and colourful variegated oriental plants.

day 736 - pink bouquet

the obligatory valentine flowers were exchanged. set me back $40. but it's good for my photography hobby. but how many photographs of flowers can one take? in my case, a lot! lots and lots.

day 594 - the flip side

and here's the other colour of the same flower plant. it seems the petals of this one is so delicate and thin.

day 549 - a stray lily

a lonely lily sits alone among dead grasses and other bushes on the side of the road going to the beaches.

day 546 - stray flower

not really a stray flower, it's just that it was sticking out like a sore thumb, it being so different in colour and shape amongst daisies and such.

day 539 - and of course

there's the peach coloured kalanchoe flowers. i haven't seen the coral pink yet but it will show up. these babies are pretty sturdy.

day 538 - same but different

here're more kalanchoe i found going around the danforth, reds and pale yellows. i don't particularly like kalanchoe but they have beautiful flowers and they are easy to maintain.

day 535 - kalanchoe

i was going to use this for the seven dwarfs challenge - grumpy, to be exact because of its soft thorns. but changed my mind at the last minute. it's prettier posted in here.

day 534 - marygolds all in a row

can't resist bold colours like marygold's.

day 516 - clear as day

today my camera decided it will give me one beautiful shot. just one. and this was it.

day 515 - purple

i love seeing purple flowers or any blue-ish flowers for that matter. i believe they have a calming effect rather than the bright reds or orange. i don't know what these flowers are, they are so tiny and they grow in large clusters.

day 492 - there's a bee!

while photographing the CN tower, i got attracted to these flowers. turned out some bee had already made a claim to it.

day 487 - a rose

by any other name would smell just as sweet - from romeo & juliet, william shakespeare.

day 483 - lilies of the valley

my favourite flower, they're so delicate, so pure, so mysterious. i'd like to say just like me but it's only true on one count. in any case, they are late this year. around here at least.
