day 824 - delicate pink iris

this belongs to one of the assistants at the office. yesterday, the flower in the middle was just a tightly closed bud. it opened up overnight and today she has this beautiful natural arrangement a la ikebana! beautiful!

day 823 - red poppy

red poppy found on the side of the street popping out from the wire fence of a home garden.

this momma duck has 10. where's poppa duck? cavorting with another poppa out in the middle of the pond. i wonder if they're both poppas of these brood? hmmm...maybe we should ask mrs. momma.

at niagara falls with visiting friends. this is after we got off the maid of the mist tour.

day 814 - good morning from niagara falls

the view from last night changes to this this morning. less traffic, more falls! (two hours before the unfortunate incident where a man jumped over the protective railing forcing city officials to close the viewing section to the tourists so rescuers can do their job of rescuing some stupid idiot. arrest the stupid, i say, regardless of what injuries he sustained.

day 813 - niagara falls in the late evening

traffic easing out on the avenue near the falls, at almost 12 midnight.

so many chive flowers to choose from. i wonder if they are the edible chives? must investigate.

such clear water on the lake. which it should be!

day 808 - obscene lily

while i do love the unusual colour of this lily, i think i shot it at such a bad angle i don't like the look of the pistil and its stigma. really looks like a...a...well, as i said, something obscene! and i mean it in the context of the flower's visual.

day 807 - fancy pansy

love the colours of this pansy flower, especially the veins. i think it is quite lovely.

day 806 - another one

what's with these butterflies? i can't catch a picture of them unless they're on the pavement, obviously dead!
